Dallas City Council moved to ban STRs out of residential areas on 6/14/23.
Here are the ordinances that were passed on 6/14/23:
DSTRA responded with a lawsuit against the City of Dallas, filed 10/2/23. Our litigation team is Lynn Pinker Hurst Schwegman

Our court date for the injunction hearing was December 1, 2023. We heard back from the Judge on December 6, 2023 and she upheld our request for injunction.

Find Out More on the home page: The Appellate hearing was November 13, 2024. The ruling came out on February 07, 2025, which affirmed the opinion of the District Court Judge. Meaning we can continue to operate under the injunction. The next steps will be determined by the City as to if they decide to appeal to the State Supreme Court.
